  • I have a two-story house on pier and beam. Brown Foundation came out to do the foundation repair work and it took them 1 week to do some of the repairs. Then came back out several different times, but said they couldn’t complete the repairs thoroughly because the house needs to settle. We didn’t want to pay the total cost of $12,000 until the house was level. They claimed the work will be under warranty, and if we don’t pay for work that was done, they will put a lien on the house, even though it was not completed. They came out to do the warranty work and broke several support beams and now they won’t do anything to fix it. It’s a two-story house and shakes very badly. They claim that we are responsible for the cost for new support beams, even though they are the ones who broke them. I DO NOT recommend this company to anyone who needs foundation repair, especially if you have a two-story home. Our house is now MORE UNLEVEL than it was BEFORE they ever did any work.

  • Our experience with Rick A. and Brown Foundation Repair was OUTSTANDING. When confronted with some pretty pressing drainage issues with our 1920s craftsman home, Rick was able to give us multiple options tailored around our availability and budget. He was extremely knowledgeable and was able to lay out our plan of action without any confusion.

  • Lee was amazing! Lee’s communication before he came to visit was perfect. He left me a voicemail. I was on a zoom call and I couldn’t pick up the phone. I text Lee and he replied right away. His communication is spot on and I appreciate it so very much!!! Brown was recommended to me by a contract and I appreciate his suggestion. I appreciate Lee It was refreshing to have someone not try to take advantage of you. I will always recommend Brown and (Lee) to anyone.

  • My swimming pool is 40 years old. I was installing a new large deck and since the pool is located close to a drop off, I thought I should put in some Helical piers to make sure it stayed stable.
I called Brown and asked about Helical piers. They sent a guy out and started mentioning “steel piers”. I thought to myself, good, the Helical piers won’t rust! He never said he wasn’t doing Helical piers!
I told the representative that I was replacing the wood deck top, so it would be okay for his guys to use it to work from.
The crew manager came by and the rep and I started to join the rep and he as they discussed the work to be done. The representative told me to “Go in the house and I’ll show him what’s needed!”

He gave me a contract to sign for $10,800 and had a bunch of Hispanic workers with him. The contract had no details except for the number of piers and their location. He spoke to them in Spanish and left. I went out to ask them questions but none spoke English.

The workers cut holes in the deck and through the deck supports, which meant I had to replace the whole deck not just the top! They cut through the pool’s pipes, which caused me to have to have the whole back side of the pool replumbed!

The piers they installed were not Helical piers but looked like rebar! They were not concreted in place.

The workers hauled off the rocks that they’d dug out that were behind the pool. They were there for stabilization. The pool now has substantial cracks!

Brown did nothing to correct the situation.

  • Met with Lupe Valdez today for my free estimate on a pier and beam with drainage problem. He was polite, professional and got really muddy going under my old house! First thing he said needed was drainage and outlined what that would entail. Second was piers with missing bases, which I had already paid another company to do. He showed me pictures of underneath the house and answered all of my questions. He said, if I wanted to proceed, there would be a deposit required that would go against the cost. I could do some or all that he proposed, my choice. Since I’ve been around this block a time or two, I’ve chosen Brown Foundation to get my house back on a good foundation! I will update after work is done! They were able to get me in 2 weeks before original date, I am 2 hours away from Dallas and wouldn’t you know I got rain the night before they came! The guys showed up about an hour later than originally planned, but as of 5:45 pm are still working digging trenches with water seeping up on them! Definitely a hard working crew! I am impressed with them. The main guy speaks some English, the rest not. But that does not detract from the awesome neat trenches they have dug, by hand, with tree roots and water, and MUD, to contend with! So far, I’m a happy camper!
After all of the above, I needed the outer house lifted. The crew came today to start on the piers! I was so impressed with their work ethic! I used Google translate when needed. They were professional, hardworking and cleaned up after themselves impeccably! 5 star rating, in my books!
