I contacted Gateway Builders for a 30×50 shop in my backyard and from the start they asked a list of questions that narrowed down my needs and got an estimate back to me that same day! Later that week Donna reached out and scheduled appointment at their office and I was able to pick out my colors and I got to meet the builder personally. He told me it would be 3-4 months and said they were extremely busy with all the growth in our area but well worth the wait. The team had great attention to detail and the trim work looks great. I’m glad I chose Gateway Builders to build my dream shop.

We chose Gateway because of the great reviews we saw. Unfortunately, this was not our experience. We are having to spend a lot of time and money fixing and improving their work. No attention to detail. Left the work site a mess for months with scrap metal they said they would haul off. Crooked welds, messy metal cutting, and not much accountability for their work. Months behind expected completion date, and dented and messy trim. In one photo you can see an extremely crooked beam with a line of screws where the beam should have been.

Last year we contracted gateway for our build. I won’t say there was not issues or disagreements – this is inevitable with any project – Gateway went above and beyond to ensure our build went as smooth as possible. When issues did arise the owner [Deven Shuler] found a solution every time.
At the end we had a quality build that looked better than we imagined! Thank you Gateway for everything!!
If I could go back and start from the beginning –
* I would make sure to get concrete estimates from the owner in person
* I would get estimates for addtl dirt needed from owner in person.
* I would hire a professional company for entry doors to ensure accountability for operation.
* make sure to confirm ALL measurements and heights BEFORE build commences
* shop door gaps addressed during build
* gutters included
These are issues that came up during the build and I won’t lie – was irritated at the time but – the owner addressed EVERY issue – some with addtl cost and some without – the point is, gateway never left us hanging – they addressed everything professionally. No build is ever perfect but what matters is how they are addressed when they arise. Gateway gets 5 stars for this.

I started building a shop/Barndominium a while back and experience with Gateway Builders was very good. I definitely appreciated their help in guidance and the experience was favorable and the outcome was absolutely what I wanted. I want to say that from the beginning the first phone call with Donna and Deven helped me and help me shape what I had to do and we worked well together and I found that they are a family and a great company that has worked hard and worked hard on my barndo. I have to say that the work crew came out early and put in a hard day and did excellent work. The final outcome was beautiful and my dream did come true for anyone who is looking to build a metal building or shop.They’re a great bench to work with. I would recommend Gateway builders anytime. I have posted the pictures below and feel that they explain the process at each step of the way and I’m not a very good construction minded individual so I really appreciated that.
