We kept putting off the ordeal of carpeting our upstairs. Finally we decided to just go for it. But after shopping carpet and major mega hardware stores, my wife and I were frustrated. Either we had sales people who wouldn’t leave us alone to make our choice or we couldn’t find help anywhere. When we finally walked into Grigsby’s on Sheridan, we were immediately impressed with their huge inventory of choices. Shana soon appeared and we explained what we were looking for and when we mentioned our staircase, she immediately directed us to the area that we should be looking, for carpet that could handle that kind of traffic. Then, instead of following us around and trying to push more expensive selections on us, She left to allow us to make our own choice. And then, once we made that choice, she encouraged us to take samples home before we made our final decision. Shana was a refreshing change from the high-pressure we had been experiencing elsewhere. She set us up with Jerry, a very experienced and knowledgeable installer. He and his crew were punctual and courteous, moved our furniture with care, and cleaned up after themselves, making my wife very happy. But most importantly, they turned out to be perfectionist.
So the dreaded ordeal of recarpetingactually turned into a pleasant experience.

Sales stage and installation stage was outstanding. However, ordering and receiving the carpet was terribly slow. I was told 5-7 business days to get the material after I paid the deposit. We paid on March 1, heard nothing and had to follow up on March 12….did not receive a response until ten days later. Then, was told the carpet wouldn’t be in until March 29! Customer should not have to keep following up to find out the status of their order. Carpet and installation was great…..but then I received a call asking how I was going to handle our outstanding balance with never having received an invoice. Communication with the customer definitely needs improvement!
