Lyon Construction does GREAT work! They are professional, courteous and timely! I really feel like I can TRUST Lyon Construction and I am looking forward to my next project with them!!!

No, we aren’t “unknown individuals” to Lyon construction. He’s trying to save face. I’ll gladly leave more bad reviews, with numerous screenshots of unpaid invoices sent to you guys, as well as emails that you guys aren’t responding to.

I signed and paid for a design contract over a month ago with Charles Lyon and his company after a consultation where he said he could design and remodel by bathroom in my timeframe within my budget.
Weeks and weeks later, communication with Charley and his team has been like pulling teeth, with multiple messages before they respond. In my efforts to get transparency with our project I ask pointed questions which are ignored, or given vague answers. The original timeline had demo starting a month ago, and all my attempts to reschedule meetings that they have cancelled with me last minute have been ignored.
Charley has just informed me that the bathroom Lyon designed would be more than double my budget, and that they cannot do my project within the timeframe. I have gotten no explanations why we are so grossly overbudget, or any attempt to work with me to find a solution to our timeline. As of now, I have not gotten any replies.
Not professional, not responsive, dismissive and disappointing.
*edit, I had originally typed that I signed the contracts months ago – that was a mistype, it has actually been 5 weeks. Everything else in the review remains truthful.
* Lyon construction has emailed me after this review was posted, still not offering a solution and locking us out of Buildertrend, our portal for project communication.
In their email they said, “Your lack of knowledge regarding materials, use of materials, allowances, budgets, labor requirements, cost requirements, mobilization costs, and overall construction requirements is alarming.”
So I suppose if you are looking for construction and design and are already a specialist in those areas, they might be the company for you.

Charlie and his team set the industry standard for what general contracting should look like. They are responsive, forward thinking, and implement the latest technology to stay ahead of the curve. His team has years of experience within the industry which makes tackling any job a positive experience. Charlie is a great guy, that is honest and even-tempered to help the client get through any problems that may arise. There isn’t a job that I wouldn’t feel comfortable having Lyons Construction complete.

Please, do not do business with this horrible company. They promised that they would finish my simple master bedroom addition quickly and beautifully and after 12 months had only subbed out pier work and basic perimeter concrete work. Charles Lyon was beyond ugly to me and angry I finally, 11 months after hiring him, required weekly progress calls. He then got mad at me when I called the city to see what had actually been completed and had the audacity to call me with his “project manager” bitching at me “that I had gone behind their back” about MY HOME. I fired him and he then refused to transfer our permits to our new contractor. We recently discovered they lied to the pier company and failed to pay this sub then falsely claimed we did not pay their bill which, we in fact, paid months ago (which we were easily able to prove to the pier company). We also discovered they marked up the pier bill by 10k. You have been warned!
