Luke listened very well and answered any questions or concerns we had very promptly and honestly. He did a great job and we are very pleased with the outcome. Highly recommend!

Luke has an incredible eye for architectural design! He’s also a great guy to get to know. You won’t go wrong using Luke for the job you need designed, and for him to bring it to fruition.

Contracted Oklahoma Landscape Architects for a plan for my backyard to screen us from new built 2 story house next door. A small lot, but he treated us like we were a grander client. He made a custom landscape plan for trees along the back fence and and arbor for wisteria outside our bedroom window. He was attentive to my preferences and and made an effective design. I could have taken the plan on my own and done the contracting myself or self planted, or he could contract the actual landscapers. He handled the landscape contractor and they followed the design appropriately. Luke is very timely and so easy to work with. He responds quickly to texts. All in all a solid, awesome, professional experience. I would DEFINITELY use OLA again.

Luke did an amazing Job designing our new pollinator garden at the Oklahoma Aquarium. His design also proved to be within our specified budget once we went out for bids and we do believe we got the most for our dollar. Five stars all the way!

We contacted Luke to landscape the front of our house on May 3rd of this year. He explained some ideas and then he said he would develop some plans. Luke showed us his plans and they looked good. After that he contacted us constantly asking if we were ready to put a deposit down so we could get on his subs schedule.
We told him we wanted it done mid June but absolutely done by end of June as we had an event planned. After some back and forth on the price and scope we gave him the deposit. We started asking when the start date was around June 8th. After some back and forth he started pushing the schedule out. First a week then another then he tells us he can’t start until July 1st. Our event was the 4th and he assured us they would be done before the holiday. By now it’s very hot. We had agreed that there would not be any plant substitutions without our approval.
His guys showed up with the plants and a lot of them looked terrible. We had them pull and send a lot of them back. This is a good time to mention that on the front end he assured us that his subs would pull all the weeds in the old bed. They did not. Ultimately they came up with enough plants to meet the plan layout but as noted above quite a few of them were lousy looking, leggy, or burned. Had they done this when they agreed they would have been able to get better plants.
The project included stone work for borders and a central step. I spoke to Luke about how the stone was going to be cut and arranged. I wanted to be sure that they didn’t just butt the stones up end to end and fill with mortar. I wanted them cut to fit. He assured me they would. They cut some but many have nasty gaps that they filled with mortar. The stone is uneven and poorly mortared at best. There is a left and right bed in the front of the house. The stone is a good 2″ higher out of the ground on the left. You probably wouldn’t notice it until it comes together in the middle and then it’s obvious. He subbed the work out to Red Tail Lawn and Landscaping from Coweta. It’s clear they don’t know how to do stone work.
As they were working we had to stop them several times to make them correct issues with poor mortaring and in one case they had cut off one of my down spout drains and were in the process of putting stone over the cut off drain.
Mind you this was an expensive project. We expected a professional result and are very disappointed in the overall Workmanship.
The final straw was that there were two spruces that were there initially and were supposed to remain. Once the shrubs were torn out we saw that they were damaged so we asked Luke to replace them. It was out of the scope so he said he would do it but we had to pay for the spruces. He said they would be less than $100 each. The project ended and we started asking about the spruces. Luke finally came back and said that they would be $400. We asked how that could be and he said that was his price for the plants, delivery and planting. Prior to the final payment he was going to run out and put them in for us as soon as they came in.
He is a nice guy but a terrible contractor to work with. Even though we communicated with him via email and text when he showed up he would “forget” that we spoke about something which resulted in the wrong pottery being delivered and several other issues.
I would never hire him for anything, he is just not professional level.
Interesting that 2 of his 5 star reviews are one he left himself and one his wife left him. Who does that??
