This guy at the mall asked me to write a revi3w and so therefore I am basing this review off a fountain I witnessed displayed at the mall 🤷🏿♂️ it was nice looking and spouted water💦 in a very therapeutic manner 🧘♀️ would I ever give them a call for their services I don’t know 🤔because I asked questions regarding their product and business ventures and yet he just gave me a run of the mill presentation with no detail whatsoever 🙅🏿♂️ and the prices he stated couldn’t have been more vague. I asked and he said it depends on what you want and how you want it 🤨

My wife and I hired outside inc for a project. About 120 linear feet of 36” wide flowerbed with stone border on one edge built on plane no lower than my existing sidewalk, irrigation for said bed, plants – mainly grasses and non-distinct shrubs, and low voltage lighting. $20k price tag. $56 per square foot of lighted irrigated flowerbed.
I did look at reviews beforehand, but didn’t go far enough to see that Outside Inc often posts up in public places to bait and solicit random 5-star reviews without purchase. Dishonest & deceptive practice on their behalf; expensive mistake on mine. All those reviews that mention a fountain? They’re random people who’ve never spent a dime with outside inc referencing a fountain in Woodland Hills mall.
Between the terrible lack of communication, poor project planning, complete disregard to marked utilities, the damage I’ve had to repair to my lawn, the rocks, trash, and cigarette butts I’m still picking up, the concrete clean-up I’ve had to do, the demand for payment in full before project completion, coupled with my having to repair my brand new small irrigation system’s wiring before its first use, I feel giving a one-star review is one star too many.
Outside inc charges a premium price, but they do not provide a premium product. Do yourself a favor… shop around, get several estimates. If the sales representatives who show up boast of anything other than ideas to make your project stand out, don’t overlook the part about your project not being their first priority.
What I find to be the biggest irritant – spending $20k on something I’ll likely tear out 1/3 of and replace with what I requested to begin with.
They didn’t even take the time to follow up after they think they completed the job.

Here’s a positive review for Outside Inc.:
“I hired Outside Inc. to install a French drain, irrigation system, and a fountain in my backyard, and I’m thrilled with the results! Their team was professional and knowledgeable, and they did a fantastic job on all aspects of the project. The French drain works perfectly, the irrigation system keeps my lawn healthy, and the fountain is a beautiful addition to my outdoor space. Outside Inc. truly exceeded my expectations.”

The issue I have with this company is that they spend their days in woodland hills mall asking people to leave a review saying they are good, without hiring them for any service. I don’t trust a company who builds their reputation on fake reviews, and for this fact, I would not recommend. I highly question their morals and standards based on that.
Id say if you want good reviews, run a special promotion and pick five people to give a half off discount, or do a set amount of work for free. That way you can build your reputation the right way instead of just asking random strangers at the mall to leave a rating based on nothing but photos.
