It was really great working with Sel and the Brothers Masonry Company. They did a seriously awesome job on our house.

We have a brick home that was built in 1927 that needed a lot of tuckpointing work. In addition to that we wanted a german schmear technique that partially shows our brick using a white mortar. Sel gave us many samples and put in a ton of effort as he and his team worked to get the exact application and mortar color we wanted. Our house is old so we’ve done a lot of reno work on it over the years and I’ve never worked with a contractor who cared as much about getting the look we wanted as Sel did.

Sel was also very good at understanding the athesetic we were going for. With the german schmear technique we wanted, we were concerned it would end up looking too patterned, not leaving us with the natural look we were going for. But he really grasped what we wanted. There were a few times I asked about certain areas where I thought there was too little or too much mortar coverage and he told me he noticed the same thing and already talked with his guys about it.
